Bullet List Maker
Paste your lines, pick a bullet and copy a tidy dot list — as plain text for a caption or message, or as clean HTML for a page. No formatting tools, no account, no upload.
Blank lines are skipped. Each remaining line gets the bullet you choose.
HTML mode produces an unordered list with each line escaped and wrapped in <li>.
How to make a bullet list
01
Paste your text
One item per line. The tool trims each line and skips blank ones, so pasted lists from notes or chat clean up nicely.
02
Choose a bullet
Use • for a standard list, ◦ for a lighter nested look, or ‣ when you want a directional marker. The shape is the only thing that changes.
03
Copy text or HTML
Plain text is ready for social posts; HTML mode is ready for a CMS or email template. Both stay as selectable text.
A quick note on bullet choice
A bullet is a list marker, not a separator. If you are joining items on one line (“Design · Code · Coffee”), use the dot separator builder with a middle dot instead. If you need the official list bullet, copy • (U+2022) or browse all bullet point symbols.
Bullet list questions
What does the bullet list maker do?
It takes one line of text per row and adds a bullet character to the start of every non-empty line. You can copy the result as plain text or as a ready-to-paste HTML unordered list.
Which bullet symbol should I choose?
• (U+2022, BULLET) is the standard choice for a top-level list. ◦ is a lighter alternative for nested lists, ‣ gives a directional look, and ▪ or ○ work well when you want a different shape. Avoid using · for list items — it is punctuation, not a bullet.
What is the difference between plain text and HTML mode?
Plain text mode copies lines such as “• First item”. HTML mode wraps each line in an <li> element inside a <ul>, which you can paste into a web page, CMS or email template that accepts HTML.
Does the tool keep my line breaks?
Yes. Every non-empty line becomes one list item, and blank lines are skipped so the output stays tidy. You can reorder or edit the lines before copying.
Is the bullet list maker free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, requires no account and does not upload your text. You can use it as often as you like.
