Dot Separator
Turn a list into one clean line joined by dots. Type each item on its own line, choose a separator, adjust the spacing, then copy the result. Everything happens in your browser — no sign-up and no upload.
Empty lines are ignored. Leading and trailing spaces are trimmed.
Any character works. One to three characters read best.
How to use the dot separator
01
Add your items
Type or paste one item per line. Each line becomes one item in the result, in the same order.
02
Pick the dot
Choose a preset dot or paste your own. The middle dot · is the usual choice for a quiet separator; • stands out more.
03
Copy the result
Click “Copy result” and paste it into a bio, caption, slide, email subject or document.

Repeat a dot
Need a run of dots for a divider, progress bar or decorative line? Pick a dot, set the count and copy the whole run.
Dot separator questions
What is a dot separator?
A dot separator is a dot placed between items to keep them on one line — for example “Design · Code · Coffee”. The most common choice is the middle dot · (U+00B7), but bullets, circles and pipes work too.
Which dot should I use between words?
Use · (middle dot) for a quiet, typographic separator. Use • (bullet) when the items should feel like a list. Avoid the dot operator ⋅ unless you are writing mathematics, because it is a multiplication sign.
Can I use a custom separator?
Yes. Type any character or short string into the custom field — a dot, a dash, a slash or a small symbol. One to three characters work best; longer separators make the line hard to read.
Does the tool add spaces around the dot?
By default it adds one space on each side of the separator. You can switch to a space after the dot only, or to no spaces at all, for compact usernames and tags.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The separator builder runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, stored or logged by this site.
