Using circle symbols

Circle Symbols poster — ● (dotsymbol.com)

In Unicode, ○ (U+25CB) and ● (U+25CF) belong to Geometric Shapes. Their half-filled relatives ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◔ ◕ are useful for progress, phases and contrast. ◎ is the bullseye; in Japanese typography ○ (maru) can mark a correct answer, while × marks a wrong one.

Every circle here is a single character, so it copies and pastes like a letter. Click one to copy it, or open its page for the code point, HTML entity, CSS escape and keyboard steps.
